Our client, a manufacturer located in McElhattan, PA, is looking for Distribution Material Attendants for multiple shifts
These are Full Time, Contract-to-Hire opportunities.
Primary Job Duties:
- Unloads and stages incoming goods to be received
- Moves and sorts product from the receiving dock to the appropriate station for put away
- Moves receipts of product from the packing departments to the correct storage aisle
- Set-up work stations in the packing department
- Replenishes packing supplies to work stations as required
- Answer blue lights, retrieve floor totes, harness totes, molding totes and Wellsboro totes
- Retrieve items dropped off by industrial trucks
- Retrieve returnable packaging as needed by packers
- Load and unload parcels to or from the conveyor
- Assist turret truck operators locating transfers from aisle to aisle
- Remove trash from designated departments
- Operate the cardboard bailer and removal of completed bailed cardboard
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to climb stairs repeatedly
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as required
- Ability to work weekends as required
- Use powered walk behind and manual material handling equipment, RF scanning equipment, auto-baggers and common hand tools
Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Push/pull containers or assemblies which may weigh up to several hundred pounds (either on dollies or on edge-not dead weight)
- Ability to sit and/or stand for entire shift
- Previous experience utilizing small hand tools
- Perform high and low reptition jobs
- Perform fine manipulations
- Firm grasping and firm cutting (up to 25 pounds of pressure periodically)
- Work through range of motions including bend and twist from waist,and above shoulder height
- Ability to work mandatory overtime
12 Hour Shift $15.00 per hour
