The Role We are currently hiring for a Dispenser Technician for the Mapei Concrete and Cement Admixtures Team. As a MAPEI Dispenser Tech, you will collaborate with respective area sales representatives to assist and develop demand for the achievement of maximum sales volume in your assigned territory, perform service activity for field customers with a technical/consultative selling and service approach. Dispenser Assembly, Installation, Maintenance and Repair Installation, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, and emergency and service repair. Assemble and install dispenser equipment, including electrical components, troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure all parts are operational. Manage response time. Assist customer in the use and maintenance of equipment. Work with supervisor to plan and organize installations for maximum utilization and efficiency of materials and equipment. Maintain customer service log. Maintain inventory of equipment and parts; ensure availability of all materials needed to install and maintain dispenser equipment. Customer Relations Assist territory Sales Representatives in the winning and maintenance of customer contracts through building and maintaining professional relationships with customers. Call in orders to Customer Service Center to place orders for delivery at customer plant as needed. Must be on continuous call to respond to customer requests for assistance; overnight travel may be required. Planning & Scheduling of Dispenser Service Work Plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer. Interact directly with internal as well as external customers on a daily basis. Dispenser Service Administration The service administration component requires proficiency with computers in order to execute activities that include but are not limited to: Equipment ordering, Warehouse part re-stocking, Expense reports, Service Information System compliance, Preventative Maintenance, calibration scheduling and compliance. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Perform other duties as required. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, basic plumbing and control equipment and systems. Reading and understanding electrical and mechanical prints and drawings. High school diploma or GED, required. Must have a good driving record. Must possess the physical ability to climb concrete plants and platforms, bend and stretch to perform tasks; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently; and up to 100 pounds with assistance; forklift experience required. Understand the impact of customer satisfaction to achieve corporate goals. Must possess competencies such as organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation and project management skills. Utilize interpersonal skills such as good oral and written communication skills, tact and diplomacy, and conflict management skills to establish positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, and directors.
