Position Overview

As a Director / Senior Director, Public Affairs, you will play a leading role in growing our Western Region operation, leading and supporting client accounts and new business efforts, as well as integrating with the broader Think Big Public Affairs, Creative and Advertising Operations teams.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and support day-to-day client interactions and strategy implementations
  • Collaborate with our in-house creative team to oversee the creation of compelling content, such as client videos, advertising assets, social media posts, marketing communications, reports, etc.
  • Implement public affairs and public relations campaigns for corporations, advocacy groups, coalitions, non-profits, etc.
  • Assist in the proposal writing process for new business opportunities
  • Work with in-house advertising operations team to build and execute media buys

Why we'll love you

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, political science/public policy, or related field is preferred
  • Director or Senior Director level designation is subject to experience, but the role requires 5-10 years of related work in government affairs, public affairs, communications, media relations, and/or digital and social media strategy
  • Preferred experience and/or familiarity with the California state/local public policy and issue advocacy environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • High level of motivation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency setting
