Job Summary Job Summary The Director of Wellness & Culture (DWC) is an experienced senior leader based at our campus in The Mission District in San Francisco, who sets the vision for and drives the strategic planning, implementation, and progress monitoring of all aspects of the school's wellness and culture programming. The DWC reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the school's wellness and culture programing, including student support services, PBIS, restorative justice, family and community partnerships, enrollment, and state/funder reporting, are legally compliant, impactful, and aligned with the mission, vision, and core values of Mission Prep. The DWC will work at the leadership level to ensure positive schoolwide and classroom culture, expectations, and discipline as a supporting condition for accelerated learning. The DWC will build, manage, and sustain a thriving team of restorative justice coordinators, behavior interventionists, and student support providers charged with designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of policies, rituals, and programs that support students' social emotional growth, wellness, and engagement. The DWC will also be responsible for coordinating and systematizing efforts with the Executive Director and Directors of Academics and Operations to ensure all aspects of the program cohere and connect to student outcomes. The DWC will build and use data systems to monitor program implementation and overall impact of wellness and culture initiatives, including team member effectiveness. The DWC will leverage data systems to develop, evaluate, and make recommendations to the Board, and other stakeholders as required, related to the school's wellness and culture program. The DWC will also be responsible for responsibly monitoring the budget for wellness and culture programming, ensuring alignment to priorities, mission, vision and core values. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred At least (5) years of progressive professional work experience in a related field, including at least (2) years of school leadership experience directing a multi-tiered system of support and/or response to intervention for scholar behavior/culture in an educational setting. Demonstrated success and knowledge in planning, organizing, and directing student services, parent engagement, restorative justice, enrollment, safety programs, and positive behavioral interventions. Demonstrated successful experience managing, leading, and coaching teams of adults in service of students. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including providing training and presentations to adults. Strong organizational capacity and demonstrated experience managing multiple work streams and team members. Demonstrated successful experience managing a budget aligned to priorities, mission, vision, and core values. Experience analyzing and using data to inform practice and organizational strategy.
