Director Of Radiology

POSITION SUMMARY In collaboration with the onsite radiologist(s), Imaging Medical Director and Dartmouth Hitchcock and reporting to the Sr. Director, Clinical Support Services/Security Safety Officer, lead an outstanding group of individuals as they provide high quality, reliable and timely diagnostic imaging services to our community. This includes managing and coordinating all activities of the six departments of radiology, in addition to serving as an ambassador with the remainder of the hospital, the medical staff and our patients. Performs duties to assure quality, compliance, safety and patient flow, while managing the direction and financial viability of the imaging departments. Does so with self-directed management focused on relationship building, setting goals and objectives, and interpreting organizational strategic objectives to direct activities of the departments. Requires little oversight in performance of duties, which includes clinical care, financial, human resource, technical, quality management, and team building concepts. It requires excellent interpersonal skills, team-building skills and the ability to affect change and a steadfast commitment to customer-focused management of services. QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: Registered Radiologic Technologist strongly preferred BA/BS Masters preferred EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS: 3 - 5 years recent management experience in a hospital Imaging/Radiology department LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S): Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
