Local manufacturing company is looking to hire a Director of Quality Assurance. This is a direct hire position with excellent benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the quality assurance requirements of all heat treating services consistent with customer, material, government and company quality specifications
Supervise and train quality personnel, pyrometry technicians, and metallurgist
Maintain and continuously improve a quality system that meets ISO, NADCAP, and customer requirements
Oversee certification process
Oversee material testing (hardness, conductivity, metallurgy)
Perform nonconformance resolution on failing parts
Develop frozen procedures and processes for critical parts
Undergo audits from customers and regulatory bodies
Perform corrective and preventive actions
Prepare, oversee and present quarterly management review meetings
Research and implement specifications relevant to heat treating processes
Monitor all technical suppliers (testing house, calibration, etc.)
Assist other departments with quality related issues
