Director of Preschool

Requirements / Qualifications Experience: Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in education or early childhood education. Administrative and/or child development program or related field. Must have at least one (1) year experience in a Head Start state preschool and/or Los Angeles Universal Preschool program within the last five (5) years. - Education: Graduate from high school or GED supplemented by college course work in personnel management or supervision. Must possess a BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university. - Other: Knowledge of preschool curriculum and methodology, bilingual methodology as well as with screening Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) and assessment Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) tools, English language acquisition and English Language Development, knowledgeable about preschool curriculum. Knowledge in monitoring, program compliance Title 22, and Title 5. - License and Certifications: Possession of, or eligibility for a California Child Development Program Director Permit. (See CTC guidelines for requirement specifics) Valid Class C California Driver's license, acceptable driving record, and evidence of insurance is required.
