See Full List of Benefits Here: 2024 INOVA BENEFITS GUIDE Requirements for consideration: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy 5 years as a pharmacist 2 years in management New hires BLS Within 3 Months from AHA required. Current TMs within 6 months of 9/12/2023 BLS from AHA required. Previous mid/senior level pharmacy leadership preferred ACLS or PALS highly preferred Specialty Board Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred. commensurate residency training PGY-1/PGY-2 preferred. Job Responsibilities including but not limited to: Under the direction of the senior director of pharmacy, this leader will focus on the operational and distributive functions of pharmacy services. They will have oversight and responsibility of all aspects of central pharmacy operations supporting the following leadership roles: Manager of Pharmacy IT, Procurement and Analytics along with that respective team Day shifts central pharmacy operations supervisor. Evening shift central pharmacy operations supervisor Procedural, Imaging, and Diagnostics supervisor Sterile Compounding/TPN services supervisor You will liaison with nurse and physician leaders on behalf of the department of pharmacy. You will be responsible for leading people both clinically and operationally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for demonstrating strong mentorship for those under their span of control. In addition, this position requires a combination of excellent verbal and written communication skills, clinical and operational expertise, and a strong commitment to patient care. Key Responsibilities: Supports the senior director of pharmacy in partnership with the director of pharmacy, acute care services. Mentors and develops a team of leaders throughout their scope. Provides direction and guidance for safe processing and dispensing of all medication for assigned areas. Helps to develop quality improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to quality measures. Manages various personnel functions such as hiring, training, performance appraisals, payroll, scheduling, coaching, rounding, disciplinary actions, and terminations, and adequate inventory of pharmacy products and supplies to meet department needs. Helps to identify effective medication distribution practices. Addresses issues or services requiring intradepartmental coordination proactively, using rounding techniques. Ensures the utilization of medication safety principles to assure positive therapeutic outcomes. Exchanges information and provides input for inter-and-intra departmental meetings. Uses a lens of equity in all aspects of patient care delivery, education, and research to promote policies and practices to allow opportunities for all to thrive and reach their potential. Provides program level management as well as shift specific management in areas of responsibility. Prior to implementation of new policies and guidelines, ensures that appropriate communication and staff education has occurred. Other duties as assigned.
