Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the OB Services department, overseeing all aspects of labor & delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.

Develop and implement a comprehensive departmental vision and strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the hospital's overall goals and objectives.

Foster a patient-centered culture that prioritizes safety, quality care, and a positive birthing experience.

Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a highly skilled and motivated team of nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.

Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.

Oversee departmental budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals across departments.

Represent the OB Services department in various hospital committees and meetings.

Champion evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date on current trends in obstetrics and gynecology.

Ensure compliance with all accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited program.

Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in a labor and delivery unit.

Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in an acute care unit, preferably within obstetrics.

Valid and current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.

A master's degree in Nursing Administration (MSN) or a related field is strongly preferred.

Certified Nurse Manager (CNM) or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification a plus.
