Nature and Scope
District Part Nursing Facility scheduled to open in 2025, is creating a dynamic team that seeks an experienced director of nursing for management and clinical operations. As the Director of Nursing (DON), you ll pave the way in upholding the highest standards of care delivery. Throughout your journey to grow Plumas District Hospital, you ll enable the success to supervise all aspects of nursing services, ensuring adherence to regulations, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting a collaborative environment among the healthcare team. Furthermore, you ll manage and lead the nursing department to meet legal, organized, and medical staff guidelines in order that optimum health care delivery may be implemented.

Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership to the nursing staff, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, outcomes, and processes to maintain standards and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement professional development plans for nursing staff, encouraging ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations impacting nursing practices and ensure the facility's compliance with all applicable laws.

Compensation
We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate staff for 30 years of relevant experience.
Compensation Range: - / hour
Sign on Bonus:
Housing Stipend: We provide three months of paid housing or / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment.
Minimum Qualifications: Required and/or Preferred
Education/Certifications and License (s): Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or related field. Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and evidence-based nursing practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse nursing team. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
