Regency Senior Living is a Non-Mandate Company Overview: The Director of Nursing oversees all medical and care needs for the residents. The director oversees all Department Staff. Ensures overall mission of Regency Senior Living is fulfilled. Responsibilities: Nursing: Maintains weekly QA and Incident Report Logs for the State of AL Conducts and Maintains Quarterly Care Plans for all residents Responsible for quarterly Level of Care assessments for all residents Oversees monthly weight records of all residents Conducts comprehensive resident assessments (home visits, if necessary) Ensures all documentation is complete prior to new residents moving in Ensure EMAR meets required regulations, collaborates with pharmacy to ensure compliance Participate in monthly clinical conference calls Conduct random chart reviews Co-ordinate with our Medical Director Communicate and develop relationships with residents family members and POA Maintain relationships with home health agencies/ hospice Responsible for ordering medical supplies for department Required to be on call for any medical emergency May be required to assist with medication distribution Responsible for ordering supplies Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy, and other medical personnel to promote quality care Ensures compliance and staffs understanding of company policy and procedure Complete/record incident reports in appropriate record system Additional Duties as assigned Caregivers: Partners with Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, training, in-service, and separation for all department staff. Reviewing am/pm any new applicants in Healthsource with immediate follow up via phone/text/email Responsible for on boarding reviews for all Department Staff Manages the staff work Schedule Creates residents laundry, showers, and room cleaning schedules for Caregivers to follow Conducts a bi-monthly employee in-service as needed Listens to all staff grievances or personal concerns, strong interpersonal skills. Conducts periodic reviews as needed and annual reviews for all staff Required Skills, Education, and Experience: Graduated Nursing School as a Registered Nurse (RN) and has passed Board Tests, maintain current Nursing licensing Must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with other coworkers and relate well with authority figures Must be passionate about seniors Able to work with seniors ranging from independent to those requiring assistance with physical and cognitive impairments Requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, pushing, and walking. Must Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance and demonstrate a positive and cheerful attitude towards other associates and residents and their families Must understand that they are subject to exposure to hazardous chemicals and infectious substances Strong administrative skills, coaching, and strategic planning required Minimum 3 years supervising position experience in senior living or comparable experience Quality Assurance / Improvement and staff development experience Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed Exhibit good time management and organization skills Possess the ability to handle complex issues Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook Work with Integrity and Humility, and Strive for Excellence Serves on leadership team and rotates as MOD
