Nature and Scope As the Director of Nursing (DON), you'll pave the way in upholding the highest standards of care delivery. The DON will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of care delivery. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of nursing services, ensuring adherence to regulations, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting a collaborative environment among the healthcare team. DON manages and/or leads the nursing department to meet legal, organizational, and medical staff guidelines in order that optimum health care delivery may be implemented. Organize, direct, plan, assess, implement, and lead the nursing services of the Plumas District Hospital including Skilled nursing facility. Location We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971. Compensation Compensation Philosophy: We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience Compensation Range: $59.75 - $85.19 / hour Sign on Bonus: $10,000.00 Housing Stipend: We provide three months of paid housing or $1,200.00 / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment Job Status / Shift Information Full-time and weekdays Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or related field. Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Experience Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and experience in maintaining accreditation. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and evidence-based nursing practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse nursing team. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement. Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership to the nursing staff, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, outcomes, and processes to maintain standards and drive quality improvement initiatives. Develop and implement professional development plans for nursing staff, encouraging ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge. Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations impacting nursing practices and ensure the facility's compliance with all applicable laws.
