We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in overseeing the maintenance of motorcoaches and transit buses. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel technology and a proven track record of managing maintenance teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a significant impact on our company's operations and service excellence.

Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Maintenance, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all motorcoaches and transit buses are in optimal operating condition.
2. Implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan and reliability of vehicles.
3. Directing and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and high performance.
4. Developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
5. Staying abreast of the latest developments in diesel technology and introducing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
6. Liaising with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports as required.
8. Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Director of Maintenance role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Maintenance, preferably in the motorcoach or transit bus industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of diesel technology and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations.
3. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
5. Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and management.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.
8. Proficiency in using computer systems for record keeping, report preparation, and maintenance management.
9. A relevant degree or certification in a related field.
