POSITION SUMMARY:




We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded IT Operations Director to lead our IT Departments infrastructure environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization's information technology infrastructure systems and operations. You will play a pivotal role in aligning IT objectives with business goals, driving innovation, and ensuring the security, scalability, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure while supporting all end users. You will be responsible for the management and protection of the company services, network, servers, and telecommunications systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:





  • Design, develop and implement comprehensive, computer-based information systems to ensure user's needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements. Users include both internal and external customers.

  • Define user information requirements by conferring with users and analyzing their respective functions. Recommend and develop computer-based business solutions. Evaluate effectiveness of programs and offer solutions to enhance effectiveness.

  • Structure, lead, train, and develop IT Operations/Infrastructure staff for maximum effectiveness.

  • Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard company data and systems.

  • Prepare and maintain technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure. Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of the company's disaster recovery plan.

  • Research and make recommendations on hardware and software purchases. Negotiate with vendors on behalf of the company to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.

  • Direct implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.

  • Motivate and mentor direct reports, foster and develop talent, and be actively involved with succession planning and talent development.




REQUIREMENTS:





  • BS/BA Degree in an IT related fiend (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, ect.)

  • 10+ years of experience managing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructures and overseeing and leading IT operations at a business.

  • 5+ years of expeirnece leading IT teams, overseeing IT infrastructure, and defining, developing, and implementing IT operations policies & procedures.

  • Prior expeirnece working in both a hands-on and strategic leadership position.

  • Expeirnece leading an IT Department with 8-12 people.

  • Prior experience leading & managing IT infrastructure and operations in the Wholesale, Manufacturing, Retail, or related industries.

  • Strong working knowledge of corporate IT infrastructure in the wholesale, manufacturing, or retail industries including, Hardware, Software/Systems, and Networking.

  • Understanding IT operations that support manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution industries.

  • Prior expeirnece overseeing and managing IT infrastructures & operations that support multi-site & stores locations.

  • Knowledge of POS hardware and software that supports a multi-site environment, expeirnece with SHIMS POS Systems preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft ecosystems and Microsoft/Windows infrastructure solutions and technologies

  • Working knowledge of POS, WMS, and ERP solutions
