JOB SUMMARY

The Director of HR reports to the VP, General Counsel and is supported by a team made up of a a team of Human Resources professionals. This position will also work closely with other members of the Senior Leadership team to develop and deliver companywide HR initiatives.

The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership and guidance for all human resources and corporate recruiting matters to the field and business operations. They will act as a consultant and closely partner with business leaders, HR leaders and team members throughout the organization to ensure talent capabilities drive and support business objectives. The Director is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating compliant human resources policies, procedures and best practices. The Director of HR will be a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team. A successful leader will thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The company practice locations currently span twelve states with varying market densities. The Director of HR will support the national, regional, and local HR needs of the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide HR leadership and counsel to field leadership on matters involving people and change/cultural management.
  • Provide counsel on complex employee relations issues and partner with corporate legal when necessary.
  • Provide senior leaders with regular HR metrics including turnover.
  • Collaborate with HR team to identify, develop and implement effective HR practices.
  • Provide interpretation of company policies and procedures for the field and in relation to all HR disciplines; guide field leaders in the administration of pay and incentive plans, and in handling performance management issues and other employee relations matters.
  • Provide direction to HR Team regarding all HR matters to ensure seamless execution of all programs and process, including the annual benefit renewal process.
  • Provide direction to HR Team on recruiting initiatives for corporate/support center roles to ensure seamless execution of all processes and initiatives, including metrics, DEI, marketing, niche candidates, internal mobility program etc.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects which address continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Collaborate with leaders to define the organizations long-term goals and identify ways to support those goals through talent management.
  • Identify key performance indicators for the field HR team and assess the organizations success based on these metrics.
  • Oversee performance appraisals, coaching and career development conversation and disciplinary action for the field.
  • Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives.
  • Develop and mentor the HR team

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required with a human resources or business emphasis; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced field organization
  • Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience required
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Experience with annual benefits renewal processes, including designing programs and negotiating pricing in partnership with a benefits broker, and developing a communication strategy
  • Past experience in change management within a highly complex environment with multiple, geographically disbursed locations
  • Strong training and development capabilities or prior experience working in functions like talent development
  • Demonstrated ability in providing HR consultation to senior leadership
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extremely flexibility to be proactive in a fast pace, ever changing environment
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring programs/processes that drive business results
  • Knowledge of lawful employment practices (Federal and State)

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods, often seated
  • Entering text by typing on keyboard for lengthy periods
  • Ability to communicate, understand and distinguish speech
  • Ability to use computer to read and enter text
