As the Director of FP&A at Markforged, you will be responsible for managing a group of brilliant and extremely high-performing individuals. You will take charge of corporate forecasting, reporting, analysis, and business intelligence. As a leading member of the finance team, you will report directly to the CFO and be a key strategic partner in shaping the company's financial direction, providing accurate forecasting, and acting as a financial bellwether. Additionally, you will work closely with the executive team on cross-organization strategic projects to support the company's growth strategies and cross-functional enablement.

What will you own?
  • Lead, manage, and guide the FP&A team in close partnership with the CFO
  • Prepare and monitor the company's detailed long-range strategic planning models
  • Build out our public company KPI's and processes
  • Build and Support the process of regularly reporting financial results to our Board of Directors
  • Prepare Ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required
  • Analyze budget and forecast variances
  • Work with the Controller and department leaders to provide visibility and understand fluctuations in revenues, expenses, and other key metrics
  • Assess profitability and conduct margin analysis for our suite of products
  • Help scale our operations by assisting in the evaluation, implementation, and improvement of financial reporting systems

What you have:
  • Substantial experience in financial planning and analysis and/or accounting role
  • Proven ability to advise on the strategic financial direction of a company
  • Experience in managing a team and history of promoting team members to the next level
  • Experience in working directly with and reporting to Board members at a company
  • Excellent customer relations skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers both internal and external
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare decks for investors of the company
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite of tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc).
