We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance Operations to lead our financial operations in the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, planning and budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis of complex financial and operational issues. This role requires an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses the ability to think strategically and collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the financial operations team, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, productivity, and performance standards are maintained.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze complex financial and operational issues and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and manage the organization's capital budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and optimal allocation of resources.
  • Drive the financial planning and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely information for decision-making purposes.
  • Manage supplies and other operating expenses to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure that the organization is in compliance with all professional standards and external regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in managing the financial operations of a complex organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing complex financial and operational issues and providing strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as experience in managing audits and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive financial planning and decision-making at the strategic level.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
