Vail Health is also leading the way in serving our communities' behavioral health needs with outpatient behavioral health services at the Edwards Community Health Campus, and the Precourt Healing Center, a 28-bed in-patient behavioral health facility, opening in 2025. About the opportunity: Responsible for the daily functions of budgeting, reporting, financial modeling, and decision support for Vail Health's Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL). Assists leadership with fiscal modeling, reporting, and analytical support to operationalize and comply with regulatory and administrative requirements and to enhance operational efficiency. What you will do: Oversees all financial activities for Vail Health's Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) for which Eagle Valley Behavioral Health (EVBH) is part of. Leads annual budgeting process across the supported entities for the BHSL and EVBH and coordinates funding from the proper sources of program and operational costs related to the BHSL. This includes working with internal departments supporting the BHSL and external partners collaborating with Vail Health to improve the community behavioral health system. Compares and reports on actual results to budget and updates and communicates projected results. Develops and leads strategic analyses to drive growth and profitability across the BHSL. Develops internal policies and processes for accepting and complying with Federal and state grants and contracts to increase revenue for the BHSL. Creates valuation models and pro forma projections for expanding or enhancing the BHSL. Develops detailed financial projections for current entities and new facilities as needed. Partners with business development, legal, real estate, foundation, and other teams to manage execution of growth plans (including build-out and launch of new clinics). Effectively communicates insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. Prepares detailed analyses and makes recommendations to manage ongoing performance. Identifies, validates, and launches innovative methods to enhance operational efficiency. Coordinates with local, state, federal, and regulatory partners to ensure alignment with fiscal expectations. This includes participating in meetings about behavioral health cost reform, serving as the BHSL point of contact for States annual Unit Cost Report and PPS filing, and providing financial oversight for state and Federal grants and contracts in coordination with various state agencies including, but not limited to, the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy and Finance (HCPF), the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). Implements state requirements for annual Behavioral Health safety net providers and BHA cost reporting and modeling. Reports dually to the Vail Health Vice President of Finance and to the Chief Population Health Officer. Serves as a Role Model for the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or other related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
