Director of Finance (Resort or Hospitality Industry exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial and strategic plans
• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies and plans
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports
• Monitor key financial metrics; provide insights into trends, risks, and opportunities
• Oversee all aspects of the resort's accounting functions; monitor revenue streams
• Maintain accurate financial records; manage cash flow
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
• Manage the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors as necessary
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to optimize pricing strategies
• Control costs through effective procurement, inventory management, and vendor negotiations
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards
• Oversee banking relationships and investments
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, tax, regulatory, and legal requirements
• Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
• Provide financial insights to support growth initiatives and investment decisions

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Resort or hospitality industry experience required
• Finance leadership experience (Director level or above) required
• Finance and accounting experience required
