As a member of the Senior Management team, the Financial Director directs the accounting and financial activities of the organization, and prepares financial analysis of operations. The Finance Director is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, closing the books and the preparation of financial reports both internal and towards HQ. The position involves supervision over general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, credit and collections, inventory, cost accounting and forecasting/budgeting, pricing and business profitability management. As well as monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to HQ, forecasting and budgeting are key activities.

Job Details

Coordinate with the North America CFO, Group CFO, and legal department on all matters related to liability, insurance, and legal affairs.

Conduct financial analyses to facilitate decision-making, including assessments of profitability, cost structures, and forecasting. Offer insights into financial trends and key performance indicators.

Ensure timely completion of monthly closings and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for corporate reporting within established deadlines.

Prepare supporting schedules and reconcile all financial statement accounts, including bank and intercompany accounts, as required by Piovan Corporate.

Generate reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial position across income, expenses, earnings, and cash flow, utilizing historical, current, and projected operational data for divisional management and Corporate use.

Maintain the company's accounting system, adhering to Corporate policies and local government regulations, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations such as GAAP and IFRS.

Supervise all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, customer service, cost accounting, and inventory costs.

Oversee Accounts Receivable Aging Reports, credit approval processes, and collection activities in line with company procedures. Approve any customers placed for collection.

Monitor inventory balances and processes, including purchasing, receiving, shipping, and identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock. Ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory records and costing, and oversee Inventory Control procedures.

Prepare reserve and accrual account analyses accurately and timely to support account balances, including bad debt reserve, inventory reserve, warranty accrual, rebate accrual, and payroll accruals.

Prepare sales and order data for sales/order reporting programs, such as order reporting and key account sales programs, accurately and on time.

Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts. Analyze budget and forecast variances monthly, providing explanations to management and Corporate stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field from an accredited College or University. CPA desirable.
Minimum seven to ten years of Finance experience in a Manufacturing environment with at least 2 years as a Controller and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
SAP ERP experience required.
Talentia experience a plus.
Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
Knowledge of Spanish or Italian a plus.
