The Director of Facilities is responsible for the day-to-day work related function of the facilities department. Develops and administers programs to maintain buildings, grounds, fire system and equipment in accordance with all regulatory agencies and administrative guidelines. Directs the repair and reconstruction of the hospital's physical plan via a preventative maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted service to patients and to assure safe conditions of employment for staff members. Manages department budgets, prepares and submits all capital equipment /project requests. Provides coordination and support to all capital projects. Key conduit for interaction between the institution and outside regulatory agencies providing oversight to institutional activity.

Education
Bachelors Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field (Required)
Masters Degree : Business Administration (Preferred)

Experience
7 Years progressive management experience in Facilities Management and Engineering (Required)
General Experience and knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and codes along with requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies. (Required)
General Experience and certification in one of the trades (Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry.) (Preferred)

License/Certifications
CHFM - Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (Required)
