Responsibilities of the Director of Credit:
- Develop and execute credit strategies for business growth and risk management.
- Lead and mentor a team of credit professionals.
- Implement and maintain credit policies and procedures.
- Analyze credit data and market trends for informed decision-making.
- Monitor credit performance metrics and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless credit processes.
- Foster relationships with external stakeholders.
Qualifications preferred of the Director of Credit:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 10 + years of leadership experience in credit management.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management and underwriting principles.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and credit scoring models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with fintech and digital lending platforms is a plus.
