Established Construction Industry Leader searching for experienced candidates for the position of director, credit. Responsibilities for director, credit

  • Ensure the Credit team provides appropriate and responsive service to the service delivery principals through understanding the client base, collection goals and day-to-day performance management of the A/R team
  • Develop and direct the preparation and communication of credit management reports addressing the needs of each respective audience
  • Establish credit/collection management and project goals, monitor/measure performance redirecting activities as required to achieve desired result and with an eye toward continuous process improvement
  • Clearly and continually communicate credit policies and procedures in a manner understandable to the service delivery teams
  • Detailed analysis and credit approvals/requirements for new and established customer base
  • Train and develop group in higher levels of credit and financial analysis
  • The ability to work independently and deliver high quality work product
  • The ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Collaborates with salesmen and finance to mitigate risk while serving the customer needs
  • Have a solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley and establish a credit environment in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
  • Strong analytical skills ensuring proper evaluation of credit limits and managing those credit limits

Qualifications for director, credit

  • Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills
  • Aptitude to utilize major mainframe operating systems (Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, ) and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • 5 years of experience in supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business partners
  • 5 years minimum of leading a credit team in a Sarbanes Compliant environment
  • Experience with project base credit needs
  • Strong experience evaluating credit worthiness using financial modeling
  • Excellent communication - written and verbal
  • Resolve or facilitate resolution of escalated issues
  • In-depth knowledge of the practices and procedures, awareness of business trends economic, technological, social, legal and political conditions and factors which could affect the viability of a credit
