Overview Plan, coach and administer all field construction activities while maintaining frequent communication with President and other departments. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Manages and administers field activities including setting goals and objectives for staff supervisors pursuant to approved plans, specifications, master contracts, building codes, and company development schedule and cost budgets. Supervises, directs and coaches direct reports, including managing other functions as required by Region/Division organizational structure. Ensures staff receives training on and follows Company and Region/Division construction, quality control and safety methods and procedures. Coordinates schedules, construction staff and production with President and senior staff to accomplish goals and objectives of business plan. Maintains frequent communication with President and other departments; has department meetings to keep current with and to disseminate information to staff; has pre-construction meetings with subcontractors and staff. Education & Experience Ten years in construction with strong background in supervision and personnel management. High School graduate or equivalent. College graduate preferred. Skills & Abilities Ability to motivate, supervise and coordinate field and office staff on daily basis. Technical Knowledge & Experience Extensive knowledge of on-site and off-site construction procedures. Physical Requirements May have occasion to lift/carry and/or push/pull 25 pounds. Typical office environment. Construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may vary; may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions.
