Job Summary Direct the daily operations of the department to facilitate access to mental health services to persons inquiring and professionals and agencies referring persons utilizing the hospital and community-based continuum of care. Manage operations, ensuring that interventions being provided are comprehensive, timely, and professional Provide direct supervision to clinicians Provide case reviews and counseling meetings to ensure services are provided in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements Assume administrative responsibility for the operation of the hospital when serving as administrator on call. Understand administrative principles and practices of county, state, and federal mental health systems. Develop and maintain clinical standards of practice for clinical staff. Have an understanding of Federal, State and local regulations as they relate to behavioral health care services. Maintain knowledge of current principles, practices and trends in the mental health field. Effectively manage community resources and organizations related to mental health services Qualifications EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Social Work LICENSURE: LCSW or LPC CERTIFICIATIONS: CPR for healthcare providers required. CPI non-violent crisis intervention certification required as a part of orientation EXPERIENCE: Minimal five years of management experience in a hospital with focus on psychiatric services preferred ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS: Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required Pinewood Springs is a joint venture mental health and wellness hospital operated by HCA Healthcare's Tristar Health and Maury Regional Medical Center.
