The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) seeks a motivated leader to serve as the Director of Business Services. This position is located on the Juneau campus with regional responsibilities including the Ketchikan and Sitka campuses. The Business Services Director is a member of the administrative leadership team, reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services in collaboration with the directors of Budget and Facilities.

As Director of Business Services, you will join a dedicated team in Administrative Services in providing fiscal and accounting management overseeing the Office of the Bursar and Student Accounts, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Travel, and the General Ledger.

To thrive in this role, you must be a collaborative leader that is able to work with a diverse group of people. It is important to have strong problem-solving skills in order to assess situations, find creative solutions and make informed decisions that are in the best interest of the university. The ability to effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders is essential. Strong listening skills and the ability to express oneself clearly is also crucial.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred; Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full time, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and full UA employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 83, based on education and experience.
