We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our thriving team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, expanding our client base, and driving sustainable financial growth. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify key areas of growth in both domestic and international markets.
2. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
3. Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline.
4. Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
5. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that will secure, retain and grow accounts.
6. Lead the negotiation and closing of new business deals.
7. Collaborate with the executive team to set organizational vision and strategy.
8. Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of company goals and visions.
9. Develop and manage the business development budget.
10. Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role within the AEC industry, preferably within Commercial and/or Industrial
construction.
3. Proven track record of developing and implementing growth strategies.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and drive business development processes.
5. Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and previous experience using a CRM
9. Ability to travel as needed.
10. In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and current trends.
11. Strong networking skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
