Summary: The Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales, business development, and customer relationship management within the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market penetration
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and networking
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth
- Manage capture and proposal activities, including negotiations, pursuit status, teaming decisions, pricing, and win strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance to deliver solutions that meet client needs
- Stay relevant with industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments to inform business strategy and decision-making
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the contract electronics manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, including production/inventory control, material and capacity requirements, and master planning
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite
- Ability to travel domestically 25%
