General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Director of Applications - Supply Chain and Finance and Operations (Sc&Fo) reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Applications and is accountable for the complete Sc&Fo application lifecycle management for Wilbur-Ellis' enterprise Sc&Fo applications. This position will provide strategic leadership across the Wilbur-Ellis business line commercial excellence teams and develop innovative strategic application plans and roadmaps aligned to the achievement of correlated business outcomes. The position will also coordinate and direct all activities related to application execution such as design, architecture, integration, development, testing, and implementation.

The position will also be responsible for the operational excellence of all Sc&Fo applications including contracts, Sc&Fo application helpdesk tickets, budgets, compliance, security, and SLAs. In this role, The Director of Applications Sc&Fo will collaborate closely with Sc&Fo business partners (Supply Chain and Finance Operations), IT Teams, Strategy Development and Execution, Security, Technology and Enterprise Support. You will lead a collaborative environment in which PMs, BAs, Architects, and developers can thrive and work effectively with other IT teams to deliver quality implementations.

You will oversee the IT service providers and other vendors delivering services and you will provide direction and management of direct reports, including matrixed reports. Lastly, as the leader of this group, you will develop direct reports and develop goals that align with the Sc&Fo applications roadmap. Key Skills and Abilities Include:Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited four-year university.

10+ years of direct experience with architecture, system design, and application lifecycle management8+ years' experience in building business partnerships and delivering enterprise applications8+ years of leadership experience with proven experience in management roles8+ Years of ERP planning, design, development, integration, implementation, and support experience5+ years of extensive program management and providing technical solutions to Supply Chain and Finance OperationsSuccessful ALM oversight of applications, such as ERP (JDEdwards, MS Dynamics), Automation (ML/AI, Bots), WMS, TMS, and rebates are desirableStrong knowledge of design and modern development processes, as well as system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologiesSolid understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance Key Personal Attributes Include:Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detailThe ability to build strong business cases that are focused on business value and technical excellenceStrong leadership skills with the ability to foster and develop a highly effective team that is passionate about Sc&FoExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and communicate with senior leadershipProven track record of delivering enterprise-level projects on time and on budgetExtensive knowledge of the Order-to-Cash process and integrationDemonstrated commitment to continued learning and developmentNecessary business acumen to carry out functional process discussions with Supply Chain and Finance Operations teams at multiple levelsBring thought leadership that will enhance strategy, drive innovation, and translate into business outcomesCalculating the costs for current and future IT systems, identifying areas to save money, and/or increasing features/protection Specific Responsibilities Include:Provide strategic direction for the Sc&Fo application team in support of business operations, ensuring that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, aligning with expected business outcomesCollaborate with team members across technology and business partners to identify innovative solutions that are delivered on time and within budget while establishing interdependencies, identifying risks, managing resource constraints, and eliminating roadblocksPrepare communications, such as weekly reporting, and strategic business reviews, to senior leaders and external audiences to help lead the organization toward successManage the enterprise Sc&Fo application department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, identifying application KPIs, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resourcesProvide a leadership role and collaborate with key decision-makers in the organization in the strategic planning, development, testing, and implementation of Enterprise system componentsManage Sc&Fo application team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and evaluationStrive for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures, and propose and implement changes to ensure a productive and efficient organization, in partnership with the wider teamAbility and desire to continually learn about new technologies, and project management methodologies, and adapt to ever-changing business and industry needs Additional Preferred Qualifications:Agile CertifiedITIL CertifiedJDEdwards ExperienceMS Dynamics 365 certification (ERP)Experience in the agricultural industry Compensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $179,900 to $251,940. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for commission, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
