Director of Advancement Full or Part Time Norwood/Westwood MA

Established Non-profit seeks an experienced, energetic, professional as its Director of Advancement. The Director will lead the development and implementation of an integrated advancement plan to support the organizations mission and its development goals.

Reporting to the organizations leader, the Director will be part of the senior leadership team and work closely with the Board and staff to achieve the org's

critical advancement and strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities

Advancing the org's mission to all stakeholders and key external and internal audiences.

Leading a coordinated advancement program that integrates development, enrollment, and marketing communications.

Directing and coordinating the org's annual fundraising and development plan, including the Annual Fund Program, and establishing a Major Gifts Program and

a Corporate Partnership Program.

Developing and guiding strategies that promote the cultivation and stewardship of donors.

Building a vibrant, mission-centered culture of giving.

Developing a strategy for the development of grant proposals and other external funding to advance the org's mission.

Leading the development and implementation of the org's marketing and communications plan.

Working closely with the org's other Directors to coordinate and leverage marketing, communications, and engagement strategies.

Leading other initiatives to raise awareness of and support for the org's mission and advancement needs.

Position Requirements

A successful candidate will possess the following personal and professional attributes

and skills:

Be an active supporter of the organization who embraces the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Have experience in development and advancement work.

Have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field.

Have knowledge of the principles and practices of advancement and fund development, and ability to organize, create, and implement advancement efforts through database management, stewardship, and marketing techniques.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; proven relationship builder; strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Helping to coordinate the support of volunteers, especially in annual advancement events.

Three or more years working in a development or advancement office.

Working knowledge or experience with Little Green Light

Partnering with School Principal on written communications (Annual Appeal, event solicitations etc)

Ability to manage office of 1-2 employees

Three or more years working in a development or advancement office.

Strong understanding of social media best practices.

Working knowledge of Google Office
