We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading electrical engineering projects from concept to production, as well as managing and mentoring a team of engineers. This individual will play a critical role in driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
  • Drive the development of innovative electrical systems and components for Precor's fitness equipment products.
  • Collaborate closely with 3rd party vendors/partners, and internal cross-functional teams, including product management, program management, mechanical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Define and implement best practices, processes, and standards for electrical engineering design and development.
  • Oversee the design, testing, and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product development strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with 7+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading electrical engineering projects from concept to production in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering principles, including analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, electrical motor controls, PCB layout, and firmware development.
  • Experience with design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, etc., and product development tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to electrical systems and product safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in Fitness equipment is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $209,700 to $235,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
