Location: Tampa, FL - Hybrid work arrangement. (In office 3 days per week. Remote 2 days per week.) Role Value Proposition: Senior manager with a track record for delivering large and complex technology projects within the Actuarial, Risk and Treasury Application Development area. Direct, Manage, plan, and administer the operational and administrative activities associated with the team. Responsibilities will include the management of associates' performance and development, budgetary responsibilities as well as fostering effective working relationships with internal and external business and IT teams. Key Responsibilities: Drive the vision and strategy for secure, scalable, and reliable IT solutions that supports business growth. Solid foundation in software development and design with strong and managerial experience with project delivery focus and expertise. Continue leading the organizational transformation towards Agile Delivery Model and adoption of DevSecOps best practices Be an advisor, coach to the teams on Agile Delivery Model, SAFE/Agile practices Interaction with internal and external senior business and IT partners Direct and manage development and implementation of multiple concurrent complex projects Direct and manage multiple direct reports, including full time employees, contractors, individual contributors and managers. Attract, retain and grow talent. Directs, motivates, and develops project staff. Identifies and addresses training and development needs Responsible for monthly financial management and administrative activities. Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Top 3 Required Skills: Experience implementing an Agile framework Experience with Azure Cloud Services and Azure pipeline development Experience working as a senior manager with a track record for delivering large and complex technology projects within the Actuarial, Risk and Treasury Application Development area Required Skills: 5+ years of experience building and managing teams that design and deliver software 5+ years of experience managing projects, deliveries, budgets, and cross functional and matrixed teams 5+ years of application development project management skills 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building software for month-end valuation processing 5+ years of experience managing offshore teams Accomplished organizational change management experience Demonstrated ability to think strategically with outstanding business acumen, Must be proficient in forging partnerships with others to accomplish end game expected results Strong record of success in delivering large and complex technology projects Solid experience around information risk, security, PII, SOX and legal compliance requirements Excellent communication and leadership ability to forge strong partnerships with business clients, management, IT managers and staff Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Skills: Retail Annuity and Retail Annuity Insurance product knowledge PMP, ITIL certification desired Business Category: Global Technology Number of Openings: 1 At MetLife, we're leading the global transformation of an industry we've long defined.
