Director Cox Communities Sales Strategy

The Director Cox Communities Sales Strategy provides leadership for a team of managers and/or senior managers that develops short-term and long-term plans, programs and operational support in a corporate wide manner to accomplish business strategies and revenue growth which could include but are not limited to: Oversight and planning for Projects, Capital/Equipment planning and tracking, Forecasting and Border partner relationships. Emerging MDU/SFU technology development specific to strategic opportunities and adjacencies, program trials and program launches. Planning and execution for assigned strategic initiatives. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for team and boundary partners regarding all aspects of our new and special strategic initiatives.

This person is responsible for creating an environment that stimulates an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated strategy team focused on continuous improvement of our business strategy, programs and initiatives. This position is also responsible for selecting, training, and monitoring the performance of team members toward the successful accomplishment of company-wide sales and revenue goals.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic, bold leader that demonstrates excellence in all aspects of sales operations, related sales processes, policy management, innovation, and the evolving competitive marketplace.
  • Organizational design, customer segmentation, sales and account coverage modeling, commission planning, budget oversight, target setting, performance mgmt., data analytics


Program and/or Product Ideation/Launch

  • Ideation and strategic support to develop innovative programs and/or products that support Cox Communities (MDU/SFU) including product roadmap, strategic program roadmap, product development, trials, launches, lifecycle management, profitability analysis, and coordination with Technology. Exceeds business case expectations (capital funded or lifecycle management or programs).
  • Develops, socializes, champions, and executes product innovation to support new strategic company MDU/SFU strategies.
  • Develops strategy for frictionless customer journeys and creates product and features roadmap to enhance journey


Strategic Planning

  • Oversees product and consumer research projects to capture customer feedback and identify new business opportunities
  • Ensures that financial targets are met for Cox Communities; Analyze performance and drivers of business health to understand opportunities to improve revenue and costs through sales performance and comp plans
  • Oversee/partner with Comp Team, Sales Leadership and Program Leads to design role specific commission plans.
  • Influences/Oversees/Partner with Finance, Sales Leadership and Program Leads to set goals, targets, processes, forecasting and territory assignments to achieve strategic objectives.


Process

  • Assesses new business opportunities for process improvements; develops processes and systems to address needs
  • Identifies and oversees system, corporate and cross-departmental tools, processes, and workforce needs to push the strategy forward.
  • Focuses on improving customer experience, internal efficiencies, team member performance and revenue leakage mitigation
  • Creating, documenting, implementing, and refining Standard Operating Procedures
  • development goals and policy guidelines


Leadership

  • Participates in industry conferences to maintain a deep knowledge and network in the MDU/SFU field
  • Instills and maintains a high energy, engaged and strategic culture at every level of organization
  • Provides strategic functional leadership as well as strong people leadership across multiple functions and geographies upward and downward in the organization

Who You Are


Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 10 years of experience in a related field (MDU Sales, Strategy or operations). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strategic mindset with operational experience and expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven negotiation and consultative skills at senior levels
  • Creative and solution oriented strategic thinker
  • Must operate under the highest degree of accuracy, business ethics, and integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Regular travel across all regions is required
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving team plan/team goals
  • Intellectually curious and inquisitive, lean-forward personality


Preferred

  • Strongly prefer proven experience in commission planning, comp plan designs and target setting
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).
  • 5 or more years of experience in a management role preferred


USD 129 100.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $129,100.00 - $215,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
