Director Corporate Strategy Group

Job Description

The Corporate Strategy Group partners with R&D and Commercial leaders to advance our strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives that will make a real difference for AbbVie's patients.

The Director, Corporate Strategy Group will be responsible driving high-impact strategic initiatives, facilitating robust enterprise-level strategic planning, and monitoring and assessing AbbVie's external environment. He or she will report to the Head of Corporate Strategy Group. This is a highly visible position and could be a springboard to other leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

Promote strategic discussions on external trends, competitor strategies and potential disruptors, and translate these to strategic choices

Shape our corporate priorities; drive clarity and alignment on "where we play" (therapeutic areas, modalities, platform capabilities, etc.)

Provide internal consulting support for high-priority strategic initiatives that will drive transformative change and position AbbVie for future success

Provide targeted support for AbbVie's long-range strategic planning process, including working with leaders to shape their strategic agendas

Partner with and advise senior management on topics relevant to their own functional areas

Help communicate our strategy across AbbVie

Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
