Position Summary: The Director, Operational Excellence is a key leadership role responsible for driving and facilitating measurable improvements across a global manufacturing organization (Vehicle Solutions and Aftermarket/Accessories). This position will leverage extensive knowledge and experience in operational excellence principles, coupled with strong interpersonal and influencing skills. This role will lead the organization through Lean transformation, overseeing the deployment of operational excellence initiatives, and playing a pivotal role in continuous improvement across all functional areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the deployment of the business unit's operational excellence initiative, emphasizing operational improvement. Provide leadership, mentoring, and training at all organizational levels on continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Facilitate Operational Excellence meetings and drive the formulation of immediate and multi-year improvement plans. Support management in developing, planning, and executing an Operational Excellence strategy, aligning project metrics with strategic operational objectives. Develop internal Operational Excellence leaders, coaching supervisors in understanding and applying continuous improvement concepts. Plan and assist in the execution of targeted Kaizen transformational events and projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Manage and coordinate continuous improvement projects, ensuring action plans are executed and gains are maintained. Focus on business performance improvements, aiming for safety enhancements, defect-free products, on-time delivery, and cost reduction. Drive waste elimination, customer satisfaction improvement, and market share increase through operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies. Act as a key change driver within the organization, supporting cross-functional decisions and communicating changes to employees' work environments. Perform other duties as assigned.
