Job Description

This role can be 100% remote with expected travel of up to 25% both in the US and Internationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the Engineering Category and Engineering sourcing team supporting the Engineering community.

Act as Chief of Staff for the Head of the Indirect Sourcing and Procurement organization.

Understanding of Engineering needs to procure EDA SW, Intellectual Property and complexity around respective contract structure.

Manage teams globally for successful engagement in Engineering Build, Lab Equipment, Engineering Service procurement, Audit, and Compliance process.

Drive process improvement in procurement cycle, and lead team to refine, meet various KPI.

Manage Procurement Strategies to align with engineering technologies, budget and drive supplier relationship accordingly.

Act as a trusted partner for his or her Engineering categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business entities. This entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding, and reporting on the Engineering category along with responsibility for driving strategic projects to achieve business objectives.

Build and maintain effective working relationship with assigned stakeholders.

Develop short-term/long-term category strategy for the engineering category, implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories following a standard strategic sourcing methodology.

Capable of forming and driving Commercial, Technical bid reviews.

Drive and develop the RFx process through to completion; including requirements gathering, identifying RFP criteria, scorecards with criteria and weighting, bidder's Proposals.

Conduct high impact eSourcing events where applicable (e.g., eRFX).

Capable of Developing and constructing Agreements.

Outstanding negotiation skills on both Terms and Conditions plus Should Cost models development and understanding of Total Cost of ownership.

Contribute to the departments KPIs, including driving significant cost savings that contribute to the annual targets.

Ability to review and analyze data to determine sourcing opportunities based on best practice methodologies.

Help identify areas of risk for the business (i.e., delivery of service, quality, performance, timeline, warranty, governance); make recommendations where applicable.

Ability to recognize areas that require improvement and make recommendations for efficiency gain.

Partner with key stakeholders and assist in development of approved and preferred vendor lists for assigned categories.

Lead cross-functional teams to develop requirements and strategy to identify suppliers, establish SLA/KPI requirements.

Measure supplier performance against contract SLAs and expectations and initiate corrective actions in the event of missed expectations to resolve any performance issues.

Drive Supplier Review Meetings with key suppliers and senior level Align stakeholders and provide input on performance and future needs/strategic planning.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers / clients as well as vendors.

Ability to excel under pressure while dealing with changing priorities and timelines.

Manage compliance to contracts.

Support savings tracking processes and participates in special projects as needed.
