This role provides leadership on a day-to-day basis and works collaboratively with various departments and staff levels within the organization. The Director provides guidance and direction to the team, and fosters teamwork to achieve goals. The Wellness/Welcome Director will work closely with the Vice President and Director of Residential Services at CCH to oversee the daily operations at the Wellness Center. The Director will collaborate with DCFS, ensure utilization, outcome, and client satisfaction reports are completed and reported, lead improvement efforts, and supervise Center staff. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Ensures all professional, clinical, and ethical standards are met through leadership and program coordination. Leads recruitment and retention efforts for program staff and creates and facilitates a strong onboarding experience for new hires. Works to create a positive work environment serving a high-stress need, with a focus on employee retention and growth. Supervise staff to ensure timely service delivery Ensures effective performance for direct service staff including timely and accurate documentation and record-keeping by monitoring and analyzing system database and records. Ensures proper utilization and timeliness of services and optimizes client care by coordinating services within the organization and with other community support services. Continually assessing and recommending changes to program policies and procedures to best meet the program's objectives. Collaborates with the Program Vice President and Director of Residential Services to monitor and report program outcomes. Assist management with developing and recommending new or revised program goals and objectives. Collaborates with agency personnel and other community providers to develop and provide a continuum of services necessary to promote client success. Ensures services are carried out by established policies and protocols, ensuring prompt, professional responses to referrals for services, and prompt completion of clinical documentation. Documents and provides performance feedback to staff regarding the quantity, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and completeness of services performed and efficiency of use of time. Initiates and maintains relationships, in coordination with other staff, Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Juvenile Court, MHDD, other human services agencies, and informal community resources (e.g. families, hospitals, schools, etc. Ensuring that evidence-based practices/best practice models are implemented, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Harm Reduction throughout the site. Manages crisis situations in therapeutic manner. Using the Situational Leadership model empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Manages community outreach activities for the assigned site including coordination and collaboration with other community groups. Appropriately communicates organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication. Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed. Other Job Duties & Responsibilities Participate in various standing, functional, and assigned committee groups. Assume supervisory functions in the temporary absence of other supervisors and managers. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory This position supervises the Wellness & Welcome Center team within the Wellness Campus. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of disciplines and levels of staff within an organization Job Qualifications Master's degree in social work or a social service discipline. Five years of mental health, chemical dependency, and/or social services work experience including Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams, or equivalent combination of education and experience LISW or LPCC is licensed in the State of Ohio preferred. Demonstrated leadership of high-performing teams in a community behavioral health setting. Demonstrated knowledge of residential treatment. Physical Demands/Work Environment This job operates in a residential childcare environment, which includes crisis intervention, de-escalation, and, intervening physically in a manner that reduces the risk of harm to children and staff . While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, training, and other events. Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility or residence with multiple levels and without elevators or mechanical transportation.
