Director, H&W Strategic Initiatives

The Role

This role will take the lead organizing and running programs across Fidelity s Health & Welfare business, including engagement from business, product and technology partners. The programs will span the H&W ecosystem and will be focused on driving outcomes that contribute to our business case. The Director will use their organizational, project management, data analysis and communication skills to connect dots, develop insights and lead projects to deliver results for the organization. The Expertise and Skills You Have:

  • 6+ years of Program Management, Strategy & Planning or similar experience

  • Experience leading and managing projects and/or programs with cross functional stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to investigate unfamiliar subject areas and problem sets, analyze a problem using data, derive informed insights, and define and communicate a narrative.

  • Ability to understand the business context and business value delivered by an initiative and track a program towards that goal.

  • Ability to clearly communicate through PowerPoint, written memos, and leading meetings.

  • You are a quick study. You are comfortable working in ambiguity and are able to effectively manage a diverse assignment set, developing the depth of knowledge necessary as you go. You must be highly skilled in the use of Excel to support data analysis and planning efforts, and PowerPoint to support effective communication to senior leadership. Your ability to build relationships, influence a group outside a reporting hierarchy, and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders is critical. You have knowledge of and experience with agile teams and agile business practices.

  • This role is a key member of the H&W Strategic Initiatives group where we strive to guide the organization towards its business goals. The role is designed to fill gaps and span boundaries in our organization to help drive progress and results. You will establish and run programs that cut across silos to bridge gaps wherever those structures prevent us from making progress. The Director is responsible for analyzing data to develop insights to help our business make informed decisions.
