The Director, Infrastructure and Project Finance will be primarily responsible for the development and construction financing of renewable energy assets with an additional focus on project finance for "new infrastructure" asset all within the U.S. market. This role offers ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility within a growing platform.


The Contributions You Will Make

I. Asset Selection

Analyze credit and investment characteristics of borrowing entity sourced directly and/or via investment banks/PPOs.
Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate relevant transaction details with borrowers and their investment banking advisors.
Experience structuring and negotiating development/construction loans and development services agreements or similar.
Research and analyze development stage assets and strategies.
Adept at policy research and program identification.
Deep knowledge on the development and construction process of renewable energy assets
Conduct comprehensive due diligence highlighting potential risks and formulating mitigation strategies inclusive of company management and on-site visits.
Solid understanding of MIPAs, leases, interconnections, PPAs and subscriptions agreements.
Research and analyze financial statements.
Perform in-depth project pro-formas and financial analysis on potential transactions.
Evaluate and independently form and justify a view on the transaction credit quality - and further the design of transaction structures that mitigate risk and capture alpha.
Prepare and present written analysis with recommendation to Overlay Infrastructure Investment Committee, Team Lead, and Chief Investment Officer

II. Portfolio Monitoring

Monitor credit quality of renewable energy/private credit assets and compliance with loan covenants.
Evaluate and assess development progress while providing strategic oversight mitigating risks.
Oversee development and construction loan performance while managing counterparty relationships.
Managing and analyzing project sale opportunities and structures.
Maintain communication with borrowers.
Organize and maintain files of assigned private credit portfolio.


Minimum Knowledge And Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 7-10 years' credit experience; specific experience in renewables/infrastructure and project finance is required.
Excellent credit analysis skills, inclusive of ability to assess the quality and expected future performance and sale of infrastructure projects.
Familiarity and experience with loan documents and covenant packages.
Advanced understanding of Excel and strong modeling capabilities.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
Solid foundation of global accounting standards.
Strong business orientation, able to proactively engage transaction counterparties and investor clients.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented individual.
Collaborative team member who is looking to grow and expand.


Preferred Knowledge And Experience

CFA designation or equivalent preferred.
Tax equity experience preferred.
Acquisition experience preferred.

Salary Range: $190,000 - $225,000/yr

Additional compensation includes 10-20% bonus, carried interest participation.
