Duties Provide advice and assistance to the, Chief of Staff of the Army, Vice Chief of Staff, Director of the Army Staff (DAS), and the Vice Director of the Army Staff (VDAS)/Director of Management (DOM). Advise the DAS and VDAS on the development, synchronization, and implementation of HQDA policy, plans, and guidance for assessment and performance improvement functions that impact the effectiveness and efficiency of HQDA staff operations. Knowledge manager for transitions of Army senior leaders, including Presidential transitions. Advises Army senior leaders on transition issues to include General orders, policy shifts, other historical documents of interest "continuity file. Provide oversight/guidance on programs requiring exceptional degrees of coordination, integration, and sensitivity, as those actions reflect on the offices of Senior Army Leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position is designated as EMERGENCY ESSENTIAL - Emergency essential employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being replaced in the standby reserve or other appropriate action. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE: In accordance with AR 600-50, incumbent is required to file on a yearly basis a Statement of Employee and Financial Interest (DD Form 1555) and SF-450Confidential Financial Disclosure. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement. This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
