Position Overview: Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Responsibilities: Care and Support: + Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. + Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to promote independence. + Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of each individual. Communication and Documentation: + Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team. + Document client progress, health records, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner. + Report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisors. Community Engagement: + Plan and engage individuals in community-based activities, outings, and social events. + Encourage participation in vocational and recreational opportunities to enhance social skills and community integration. Training and Development: + Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on best practices in the field of developmental disabilities. + Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is a plus. + Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. + Basic computer skills for documentation purposes. + CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
