Position Details:

Position Type: Full Time Direct Hire

Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

POSITION TITLE: DIP LINE TECHNICIAN

REPORTS TO: 1st Shift Supervisor

POSITION CONCEPT: The dip line technician responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining dip processing equipment according to company standards and protocols. The role involves analyzing raw materials, managing inventory, conducting quality control tests, and ensuring efficient production processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up and operate dip processing equipment following specific company standards and protocols.

Analyze batches of raw materials and feed them into the process equipment as per production requirements.

Review work orders to determine the type and quantity of materials needed for each production batch.

Manage storage of raw materials in factory storage areas and warehouses, ensuring adherence to the first in first out (FIFO) method.

Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to replenish supplies as needed.

Monitor processes to ensure proper operation and compliance with quality standards.

Perform basic quality control and quality assurance tests on products at various stages of production.

Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and extended operational life.

Communicate any issues with machinery, raw materials, or end products promptly to the supervisor for resolution.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in a hazardous manufacturing environment.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as goggles, gloves, and masks as required.

Follow established safety guidelines for handling hazardous materials and chemicals.

Participate in safety training sessions and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as needed, including mixing, demolding, batch processing, packaging, and shipping.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production tasks.

Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for all assigned tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is preferred.

Proven experience operating dip processing equipment or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and standards accurately.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 55 gallon drums with proper equipment) and stand for extended periods.
