THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION. BUT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GO ONSITE AS NEEDED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULLY-ADJUDICATED SECRET CLEARANCE. What company will I be working for? In support of Inflow's contract with the Government, you will be working alongside the military, government employees, and with our team of other awesome Inflowees. You will be supporting the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Defense (DOD). What level of clearance do I need? You must possess an active Secret clearance. What will I be doing? In this position you will be part of a communications team of professional digital media specialists, desktop publishers, and public affairs specialists to maintain the Government agencies external branding. You will provide professional creation, reports, and other communications materials for electronic publication. You will be using government provided tools for digital communication activities (Word, Photoshop, ppt and other tools). This position is suited for an open source/media analyst, with front end web experience: 90% with a 10% understanding of basic HTML/CSS coding being very desirable. This position requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability to keep up with a dynamic office and ever growing requirements, customer service skills, and a desire to go above and beyond and problem solve.
Collaborating directly with the Customer on high profile publications that the Customer shared with the media and Congress.
Take complex tasks and prioritize, work well with minimal guidance and direction, communicate professionally and effectively with high level, SES customers.
Write, edit, monitor, and maintain online content including, but not limited to: blogs, articles, releases, summaries, tweets, and other written content
Perform periodic site content updates
Research current new media trends, write up recommendations
Manage the OIG's social media accounts (LinkedIn and Twitter)
Leverage internal and external website analytic tools to track and map out engagement, click rates, and trending data
Check content websites and content received for publication for 508 compliance issues Work with 508 Team to ensure that content, framework, and digital communications methods are within the 508 compliance guidelines
Ensure quality products each time
Provide status on deliverables and timelines
Handle confidential and classified information ensuring information is not distributed or communicated outside of approved individuals/system
Provide excellent editing services with the ability to catching spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, formatting issues, graphic alignment and formatting issues What experience, training, and education do I need? You must hold the following requirements:
AS or AA degree or equivalent experience
2+ years digital media experience with social media tools or 4 years of experience without a degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel)
Proficient in Adobe PDFs, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and Bridge
Strong editing skills (correcting spelling/grammatical errors)
Critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail
Awareness and interest in the Department of Defense, military, federal government, the media, and news organizations
Time management skills; ability to produce quality products under hard deadlines Where is the client site that I would be working for? You will be working in Alexandria, VA. Address disclosed after your clearance is verified. This position is remote, but you must be able to go onsite as needed.
