Brief Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated individual to join our team. This is a non-supervisory position responsible for developing and managing digital marketing plans and activities that align with the Region & Program Operations strategic plans and USP organizational goals. This role

will lead creating and executing a digital marketing strategy and digital marketing campaigns targeted to the Pharma Industry to drive maximum impact (public health mission and sustainability) for USP portfolio of documentary standards, reference standards, and physical materials. The position plays a

critical role in the organizations ability to increase program and product awareness, customer engagement and deliver KPIs that drive growth. The incumbent oversees development of creative, content and assets (video, white papers, graphics, images, copy, etc.) for targeted digital marketing

channels including social, email, and web in collaboration with other digital marketing and global communications staff.

This position is hybrid and requires 60% onsite per month

The Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, Pharma has the following responsibilities:

The position's purpose should provide a high-level overview of why the position exists and briefly identify the most critical priorities of the position. This is an opportunity to highlight any features or duties of the role related explicitly to the Department's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging work.

Develop and execute digital marketing plans and communication strategies to define, develop and promote the USP Pharma portfolio of documentary standards, reference standards, and physical materials to meet department and organizational goals.

Plan and manage day-to-day production of digital marketing content, copy and creatives.

Analyze and monitor business, market, and digital marketing trends to inform campaign and communication priorities.

Work cross functionally with USP internal functions including Industry Programs, Global Communications, Science, Strategic Customer Development, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs to execute digital marketing campaigns based on creative story telling, engaging content and messaging, and audience segmentation.

Day-to-day management of the digital marketing agencies including shaping goals and objectives according to desired deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

Leverage data and insights to enhance overall campaign performance and improve future digital marketing efforts.

Team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent time management skills.

Who is USP Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

Bachelors degree in marketing, business, life sciences or another related field.

At least five (5) years of hands-on experience with marketing/digital marketing of products, services, or solutions in the pharma, life sciences or healthcare industry within depth knowledge of different digital marketing channels, online marketing tools, CRM software and best practices.

At least two (2) years of experience in product/brand marketing role or customer-facing role in the Pharma or healthcare industry.

At least (2) years of experience leading and managing teams in a highly matrixed organization.

Working knowledge of social media (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube), email, blogs, display advertising, SEO/SEM

Additional Desired Preferences

A masters in business administration and/or completion of certificate program in digital marketing area of expertise.

At least eight (8) years of experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical or related industry, with a combination of commercial and technical roles.

At least two (2) years of in a sales or customer-facing role in the pharma or healthcare industry or related field.

Knowledge and experience working with Tableau, Salesforce Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Passionate about digital marketing as well as have excellent writing and editing skills.

This person should have strong communication skills, be patient and detail-oriented, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and financial acumen with business-driven mindset.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None. This is an individual contributor role.
