The Digital Applications Specialist will work on web, social, collaborative tools and mobile app development for Hackensack Meridian Health, focusing on engaging team members, patients and consumers. The Digital Applications Specialist will support the networks growth strategy, efficiency and engagement strategies. This person will also provide support for integrated marketing efforts and will regularly interface with various divisions and collaborate with other marketing, IT, HR and clinical and administrative team members. The Digital Applications Specialist will be responsible for social community and content management as well as the implementation of digital marketing plans.

Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Digital Applications Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

Serve as a valued member of the Hackensack Meridian Digital Team

Manage day-to-day implementation of digital strategy.

Manage production, scheduling, and delivery of digital campaigns, integrating goals of diverse stakeholders and participate in strategic decision-making for audience selection and segmentation.

Manage digital marketing and IT work in coordination with the Digital Engagement team.

Track and interpret performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns and social media strategy to measure effectiveness.

Work closely with team members, patient families, hospital, and partners on generating content for digital use.

Learn and execute new digital strategy practices following industry trends and best practices in both healthcare and consumer industries

Occasional weekend and evening work hours required.

Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, marketing, IT and/or a combination of related coursework and experience.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in digital communications/marketing, campaign planning, social media, and/or website creation and maintenance which can include relevant coursework.

Strong project management skills with a proven ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects and integrate the goals of diverse stakeholders.

Experience in effectively managing external vendors.

Track record of success in growing and strategically managing social media follower and/or email subscribers.

Deep understanding of consumer analytics (Google Analytics preferred) and reputation management tools.

Deep understanding of digital technology tools, including content management systems (Sitecore preferred), consumer outreach tools like automated SMS, email outreach, etc.

Strong working knowledge of digital content creation, applying the standards of strong usability and user experience principles.

Strong information technology skills, including basic programming of HTML, working knowledge of APIs and Web Services and FHIR.

Proven ability to synthesize both short-and long-term planning.

Strong communication skills.

Flexible work style, and ability to work within a diverse team.
