Diesel Mechanic

POSITION DESCRIPTION

A Diesel Mechanic at SET Environmental is responsible for:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, tractor-trailers, and hydro-blasting equipment
- Performing annual inspections in compliance with Company, State and Federal regulations
- Scheduling, tracking, and updating maintenance records per DOT and Company requirements
- Managing shop safety and cleanliness
- Requesting replacement parts, supplies and tools
- Performing building maintenance as needed
- Performing miscellaneous tasks as needed/required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 3 years of related diesel maintenance work
- Class A or B CDL Preferred or ability to obtain
- Good driving record
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work with basic hand tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Welding and electrical abilities
- Candidate must be a self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment
- Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, e-mail, etc.)
