Diesel Maintenance Helper Job Summary We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Assistant to safely assist with the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will support Mechanics in maintenance activities on equipment such as Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Dozers, Loaders, and Graders, and assist with preventative maintenance tasks. Diesel Maintenance Helper Responsibilities
•   Safely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.
•   Assists Mechanics with maintenance activities on transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components
•   Assists with and performs preventative maintenance activities on heavy equipment
•   Completes Work Orders and other maintenance documentation
•   Performs housekeeping duties and work area checks
•   May operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment
•   Performs other duties as required Diesel Maintenance Helper Position Requirements
•   Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
•   Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
•   Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. Diesel Maintenance Helper Preferred Position Requirements
•   High School diploma or GED
•   Previous experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude The estimated pay range for this role is currently $20.00 - $26.50/hour.
Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.
