About this Position:

A Die Maintenance Associate provides department tooling (mold/ die) availability through technical expertise, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to achieve manufacturing production targets.


Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain accurate documents, reports and participate in all required meetings to ensure clear understanding of department performance and support department continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop capabilities of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring and sharing of knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve and maintain skill set.
  • Support and develop solutions to solve recurring die issues to achieve SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) targets.
  • Support cross-functional activity during New/ Model Business Plan timing to promote successful plan completion or New Model launch.
  • Utilize troubleshooting knowledge and ability to perform effective and efficient die repairs.
  • Perform root cause analysis to improve die availability and eliminate defects to meet SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) targets.
  • Successfully complete required preventative and planned maintenance as scheduled, utilizing department specific die maintenance procedures to meet die quality and availability targets.

Who we are seeking:


Required Experience:

  • 2 years in the mechanical and / or die mold maintenance field

Required Education:

  • Technical Degree or equivalent work experience with High School Diploma/ or GED

Other job specific skills:

  • Experience working with aluminum CNC operation precision measurement instruments
  • 2 years of Tool and Die experience
  • 2 years of Welding experience (Tig, Mig, Stick)
  • 2 years of Metal Fabrication and Finishing

Additional Position Factors:

  • Production floor environment
  • 4 to 12 hours of overtime is typical per week
