UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is hiring a full-time Diagnostic Technician Advanced to support Three Rivers Orthopedic Associates located at 200 Delafield Rd. Suite 1040 Pittsburgh PA 15215. This position will work Monday through Friday daylight hours (715am-345pm, 730am-4pm, 745am-415pm, 8am-430pm). This position will train to work as a medical assistant also. Ready to join the team? We invite you to apply today. Purpose: Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities: + Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives. + Performs all job responsibilities of Diagnostic Tech I. + Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable. + Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures. + Demonstrates the ability to function independently, and is able to cover off shifts, on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, where applicable, while continually communicating with lead and management team. + Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups. + Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development. + Assist with the training of staff and student technologists. + Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. + 2 years Diagnostic experience required. + Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required.
