Per Diem 35 Miles St. Clerical/Administrative Support Day Shift Position Summary The Coordinator is responsible for checking in all Radiology, MRI, and Cardiopulmonary orders. When necessary they will get orders protocolled by the techs and will make sure all diagnosis are accurate and indications are provided. The Coordinator will get any priors before the scheduled appointment. They will work closely with the Radiology and Cardiopulmonary Departments as well as the scheduling department and physician offices. The Coordinator is responsible for transcribing non EPIC orders into EPIC and for communicating that the order is ready to be scheduled through EPIC notes. If an order is incorrect or missing information, the Coordinator will call or send a message to the office for clarification. The Coordinator will check to make sure precertification and medical necessity are checked and received. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: Minimum one year's experience. Medical terminology preferred; Epic skills preferred; keyboarding skills are required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
